FAQ

Who can participate in a Re:Force program?

Anyone interested in combining meaningful service to their community with their professional career can participate. If you are looking for a full-time frontline opportunity, we are happy to point you in the right direction, but that is not our focus.

How does Re:Force match individuals with service roles?

Re:Force concentrates solely on filling essential frontline roles in your community. You can choose from these roles, and we will validate your interest through shadowing the role before making a commitment. The initial roles offered will be EMT and educator (substitute teacher / classroom aide), but more roles will follow.

Do I need specific qualifications or training to participate?

No. Training is the first step of the process, which happens after you have found the service role that is right for you.

What is the time commitment?

The recommended time commitment varies by role, but it is expected to be 5-8 hours per week.

Are participants compensated for their service time?

You will be compensated for your service time.

Are there any costs to participate in the Re:Force program?

There will be no upfront costs to participants, except getting your CPR certification where necessary.

What kind of support does Re:Force offer participants?

Re:Force provides end-to-end support including role selection, training, and placement. Peer mentors will also be made available to help you settle into the role.
